Prizmah Boston 2025
Prizmah was an excellent opportunity to mingle with old friends and to connect with new heads of schools, providers and funders. There is nothing quite like it in the field of Jewish education to promote networking and to offer new opportunities for collaboration with others for High Quality Professional Development (HQPD).
With longtime friend and outstanding Israel educator Avi Posen
With Debra Drang as facilitator, Avi (Unpacked), Mina (Stand With Us), Aviva (Pardes) and I led a session called “Reimagining Israel Education: A Holistic and Intentional Approach.” Each of us brought our unique pedagogical approaches to participants, who voiced calls to host a half day continuation of this type. As we consider best practices and the goals of Jewish education for the next 10 years, a focus on integrated learning, school culture, community engagement, curriculum development, teacher learning and so much more became the focus of conversation. As I shared my latest book releases, we discussed how to strategically plan to leverage an Israel Education Statement and to align with Modern Israel Standards and Benchmarks to guide our work together.
I also had the opportunity to represent the DEEP Consortium for High Quality Professional Development (HQPD) of which I am a proud member. We were able to spread the word about our new concierge service for schools seeking HQPD and several signed up to learn more. If you are interested, please visit https://deepconsortium.org/
